After eighteen years at Southgate, Bistro Vite has moved down the river to one of Melbourne’s hidden secrets – Yarra’s Edge.
 
Located on the banks of the Yarra River on the south side of Docklands, Bistro Vite is the perfect place to meet friends, with the water and marina at your feet and the beautiful city skyline as your backdrop.
 
Only ten minutes walk from Melbourne’s CBD, you can relax on a lounge on the promenade or meet for an after work drink in the bar. The bistro serves European & local cuisine seven days a week and the private function area has a terrace that fronts the water.
 
Restaurateur Darren Quick opened the original Bistro Vite at Southgate back in 1992 and soon made it one of the institutions in the area, well known to locals, theatre goers and tourists, the restaurant was loved for its warm atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices.
 
When researching for new locations, Darren was fascinated by the tranquil harbour of Yarra’s Edge. As Darren says “Even the most travelled Melburnian is probably not aware of this area as yet”. “It’s exciting that I get to share this beautiful vista with my clientele.”
